Waren shoppen am Samstag. Alles, was ich sagen kann ist M A L L. Amerika hat nicht nur vieles, sondern alles und das noch in allen Varianten. Schlaraffenland ist ein Witz dagegen und obendrein ist der Dollar schwach.

Danach war noch Gottesdienst von 18 bis ungeplanterweise 23.30 Uhr. Mister Mike Bickle preaching stirs me up. This Man of God is such an encouragement to run the race with all it takes.

Monday through Wednesday was kinda dry in terms of PR times. Yesterday and today was sweeeeeeet. Teachings were great.

I want to lead worship like Mister Reimherr. He provokes me to jealousy (to use some bible language here)… like many others, too… but this guy is so… dunno… loving Jesus seriously.

It rained yesterday. Gestern hat es geregnet.

Lisa hat hier noch Geburtstag. It’s still Lisa’s birthday over here.
Ich könnt den ganzen Buchladen leerkaufen. Schon hier Dank an KLM für die 300 Eus Entschädigung, dafür, dass sie uns nicht ins Flugzeug gelassen, uns mittelmäßig geschockt und dann einen neuen Flug mit nur 2,5 h Verzug verpasst haben

EGS (Encounter God Service) im GPR (Global Prayer Room) am 15.08.08

Maaaaaan! I’m enjoying it. Although it can be massively distracting to hear such cool music all the time, I found an effective way to decrease the level of distraction. It’s by closing the eyes. Haha Ach, eigentlich wollt ich doch Deutsch schreiben, damit hier nicht alles verkümmert. Nun denn, ich genieße die Zeit auf der anderen Seite des Mikros zu stehen und mich nur zudröhnen zu lassen. So langsam komm ich nicht nur zur Ruhe, sondern auch zu Jesus Ich fühl mich bisschen wie ein ausgetrockneter Schwamm, der gar nicht wusste, dass er ausgetrocknet war, bis er plötzlich das Wasser wiederfand. (I wonder if Spongebob can relate to that!) Und so saug ich mich hier eben voll in Gottes Gegenwart. Ach, es heißt wahrscheinlich nicht umsonst “European Immersion”… wie passend! This morning I had some sweet, sweet Jesus moments in the prayer room that were not only lasting for few minutes but really extended enjoyable worship times. I wondered how I existed before. I mean, what state was I in? And the thing that keeps fascinating me is that so many people at the same time sit in that room and just love and worship Jesus with all they are. It’s actually pretty provoking to hear the people on stage sing out revelations that are so from the Holy Spirit it makes you cry out “I want this, too, God!!!” Nun gut, ich werd weiter versuchen aus der Zeit auf der anderen Seite des Ozeans und der Mikrofone so viel wie möglich zu machen und oooohhh, I so want to take home as much as possible.

Matt Gilman’s Song Holy sent some shivers down my spine unlike anything I’ve felt before. Good-feeling shivers of course. And believe me, I’ve had quite some moments of music sending shivers down my spine. But this was so physical,  so beyond what I ever expected Spirit-filled music can do…!
Es hat so was Surreales 5 Meter neben sich die ganzen wichtigen Leute rumrennen und das Gleiche wie man selbst machen zu sehen: Jesus anbeten, Gottes Wort durchkauen und beten.

Es ist so awesome wieder im IHOP KC zu sein. Es ist ein bisschen anders. Aber es ist auf jeden Fall cool. Es ist unheimlich beeindruckend so viele Leute auf einen Haufen zu sehen und zu wissen, dass 95 oder 99 oder 100 Prozent von denen es einfach mal unglaublich ernst meinen mit Jesus, sonst würden sie sich das wohl nicht antun;). Leute, die verknallt sind in Jesus, die Ihn suchen und nicht das, was er für sie tun kann. Yes, that’s who I wanna be. Yeah! Yeah! So I’m enjoying the time in the Prayer Room und fange langsam an ein bisschen zur Ruhe zu kommen. I’m so thankful to have this set apart time to give myself to the one thing needful to sit at the feet of Jesus. *genüsslichseufz* Es gibt soviel Gedanken durchzudenken, denk ich manchmal, ich könnte Stunden zubringen. Okay, die Stunden hab ich ja noch vor mir. Aber meistens ende ich dabei eh irgendwie an dem Punkt “Everything is fine, because I’m in His mighty hand”. Also auf geht’s. Whooohoooo. I’m excited… can you feel it?!

Noch ein paar Randbemerkungen:
Der Prayer Room sieht ganz schön anders aus im Vergleich zu vor 2 Jahren. Weiß und blau und High Tech überall.
Die Ihop-Community hat the collective clapping of the hands kultiviert. Voll witzig.
Bei meinem ersten Godi am Samstagabend hat Luke Wood Anbetung geleitet und Picture of Your love gesungen *dahinschmelz*
Während des Fluges hab ich mich gefragt, ob Stewardessen, wenn sie Urlaub machen, irgendwohin fliegen oder lieber nicht.

Sonntags fünf vor 11 im Gemeindebüro. Klein Antje zieht sich beim reflexartigen Fliegenverscheuchen nen Wespenstich an der Wade zu. Alles halb so schlimm bis Montagmittag: Antje geht in der Stadt ein paar Erledigungen machen und hat danach ein dickes Bein. Antje denkt, nicht weiter schlimm, war ja nur ein Wespenstich, fährt abends nach Hause, joggt ne halbe Stunde mit Schwester und hat am nächsten Morgen ein noch dickeres Bein. Antje kriegt ein bisschen Angst wegen Amerika und geht Dienstagnachmittag zum Arzt, erzählt die ganze Geschichte (außer dem Joggen) und erntet ein zynisches “Tja, Sie hätten am Montag nicht Shoppen gehen sollen. Ruhigstellen, hochlegen, kühlen. Mehr kann man nicht machen. Antibiotika vielleicht.” Dann eröffnet Antje ihre Reisepläne und sieht den guten Herrn Doktor nur noch die Hände übern Kopf zusammenschlagen. Antje kriegt ne Moralpredigt von wegen Thrombosegefahr, ne Heparinspritze für den Flug und ne Anleitung fürs DIY. Antje schlägt die Hände übern Kopf zusammen und schließt: Wespen sind echt doof!

“…and all He [God] has created”, my Pastor said some weeks ago in a message and it totally keeps freaking me out. Thinking about the speed of light makes everyone say “Whew! Awesome phenomenon!” and things like that. However, what really blows my mind is not only the perfection that lies in natural laws about energy and frequency and speed of light, it is the fact that God, my heavenly Father, has thought it all out and with joy and pleasure and satisfaction called it into excistence.
Bam!
There it was: Light.
And He saw it was good.
With a speed of about 300 000 000 meters per second.
Alright, so God created it on the first day as the Bible says (Gen 1:3). Now, if He is the creator that means He must be able to see it from a point of view that is not subject to it . He is the One looking at it from an absolute superior position. The theory that no thing can move as fast as light or other electromagnetic waves (A. Einstein, you know…) does not apply to God. It is not a limitation ruling the creator of it all, because He wouldn’t be the creator if that would be the case. Just imagine that the speed of light is something God is actually able “to look at”, that would mean He is truly totally independent from time and space. We can hardly get our heads around the fact that things would stretch or bend or tilt or look as if, if they moved with a speed close to speed of light. Still, God has no problem with even thinking of things moving faster than that. He does not require light to hit him in order to give him a picture of things… He sees it all, whenever He wants, whatever He wants… AAAAAhhhhh, help me because my brain is bursting! God is just awesome, isn’t He!

Can anyone remember? No? Well, in fact, this is sort of a special anniversairy this year. In July 2006, when I started this blog I was just taking off to the United States to visit the International House of Prayer - aka IHOP - in Kansas City, Missouri. And this year I’m a “repeater”. Yes, I’m pleased to announce to you *drumroll* that I’m going to visit IHOP KC again

“European Immersion” ► dip deep, soak and steep

“European Immersion 2008″ that’s the name of the program I’m going to take part in. Sounds good, eh! I’m looking forward to getting some passion fueling teaching, to seeing again some nice people I got to know then and meeting a lot of new Jesus-hungry people and above all, I’m looking forward to sitting in the prayer room, talking to my Father, refocussing my life, my mind, my everything on Him, getting refreshed, refueled, recharged in His presence, having an awesome time of worship and devotion and receiving more and more revelation… aaahhh, I can’t stop… I’m soooo looking forward. There’s just nothing like being with Jesus and knowing God!

Why in the world IHOP in the States?

Why not! Okay, okay, it’s a sane question. Why can’t I simply sit in my room at home to do the things mentioned above. First, I would save a lot of money. Secondly, my peeps at church and at home would not complain about me leaving everything behind for 4 weeks ;). However, the answer is easy.
First, I want to go on holiday! But on a “Jesus-holiday”, meaning I don’t want to just hang out on a beach for some weeks to return physically relaxed, recovered and sunburnt (although that’s extremely attractive, I admit). I want to relax, recover and sunbathe my spirit as well, because I believe this is the one thing needed in this world, in this time. Spiritual things are more real, more important, more influential than physical things. That’s hard to grasp because we learned from birth on to walk according to what our senses tell us, to think based on what we can explain with so called sanity and science. That’s good of course. If only we would stop to exclude, negate and deny the spiritual reality. My point is, I need to feed my inner man, and a program like this is a great opportunity.
Secondly, I believe IHOP KC is a place God has exceptionally blessed. A place with people He has anointed to do what they are doing. They have got a great chunk of revelation about some things in the body of Christ which I haven’t found anywhere else in that measure. Of course there are more houses of prayer all over the world. The great advantage of such institutions in the States is simply the size or capacity and structure. Or have you ever heard of a House of Prayer in Germany holding such programs… (Anyway, we’re growing, aren’t we!) Well, I believe, it’s good to get around a bit and have the best teachers, to get the cream of the crop The head of my former music school used to encourage me comparing the learning and training process of an instrumentalist with the training of craftsmen in medieval times. After one or two years of learning from their master in their city they started to cross through the country to learn from masters here and there, develop their skills by getting trained various ways and approaches of manufacturing and to finally find out the best way in order to become the best craftsman. He wasn’t possessive or protective about me as his student at his school. Instead he encouraged me to take workshops and lessons wherever I could, because he wanted me to become an excellent musician. I think that’s a nice analogy to our spiritual learning and training. (Hopefully, you’re getting my point: I’m not supporting people who roam around from one christian camp to the next to get pumped without having roots in a church. Every christian needs to be planted in a local church!)
So IHOP KC… I’m coming
