Mr. Stew Smith (drums) is leaving the band delirious? after more than a decade of producing not only music but fruit. And once again they’ve proved to be in the world but not from the world. Their story is different from other band’s stories. They are following where God leads, and I believe even more blessing will follow them because of that. Here’s an excerpt from Stew’s explanations:
I have found the touring an increasing pressure on both me and my family. We function better as a complete unit than when we are separated for so many months of the year, and I wish to be at home, to be around and be far more local. I wish to develop myself further within the design business world allowing all of the gifting that I have been blessed with to explode out of me. [...] I’m also really looking forward to getting stuck into Church life back home. [...] I could so easily continue playing drums within Delirious? and I could see myself in ten years time behind the kit continuing to pull the Stew Smee faces, but feel that I need to make myself vulnerable, allowing God to get a hold of me and sharpen me once again.

www.delirious.co.uk God is smiling over us … “Kingdom of Comfort” out April 08… AAAAAAAAhhhhhhhhhh. More later…
[This is later:]
Oct 31st - an important day in history - version 3.0 of the d:website is gonna be launched on the next, even more important day in history, Nov 1st. Unfortunately, on the evening of Oct 31 Antje can’t stand her runny nose anymore and is in bed at 8 pm regretting that she might miss the midnightly launch that was announced so appetizingly. Sometimes reason prevails.
Nov 1st - delirious.co.uk 2.1 says “technichal issues. v 3.0 will be live asap” and Antje goes “YESSSSS! I didn’t miss it.” Some small inquiries and she got to know the new launch date: Nov 2nd. So she spends the night with having sisters and friends calling her until it’s 11:30pm here. However, due to the time shift it’s only 22:30pm over there in GB. Antje decides to stay up. Just because it was already late and she had a restful 12h sleep last night. Don’t think she’d be so crazy about a website launch of the most rocking, coolest, greatest, most awesome Christian band in the world… no, universe, and the download of a new unreleased song from their forthcoming studio album whose name is gonna be published with the launch. No, no. Finally 1 am. Means “midnight” in British English. Antje goes to the open delirous.co.uk tab, refresh… nothing. Refresh, refresh, refresh… Bummer! Antje brushes her teeth, refresh, nothing, goes to bed.
Nov 2nd - the alarm goes off at 7 am (=6 am British time) Antje gets out of bed to turn down the music, close the window and turn on the heating and jumps back into… No wait! Refresh! …and jumps back into the warm blankets for another 5 minutes. But all of a sudden she sees something green appear from afar on her screen. The usual sleepiness and terrible curiosity fight inside of her an awful battle. The 5 minutes snoozy thingy goes off and with unprecedented energy she bounces out of bed and enjoys the full glory of it…

I like the pre”view” of “God is smiling over us”…
The title “Kingdom of Comfort” makes me even more excited about the new album.
I was number 8 to sit on MS’s Sofa, iow to comment on his blog
I’m so excited, MAN!
I wanna be a history maker! These guys are truly inspiring and their songs are encouraging and touching the heart of God and people. And, hey, everyone has the potential to be a delirious? history maker! Not because you can sing or play the guitar or write songs… no. The criterion is: Do you have Jesus on the inside?

The band have recently returned from a week long tour in the USA and Mexico where they have played several new songs destined for their forthcoming studio album expected in the Spring of 2008. The tracks featured so far are tentatively titled ‘Praise’, ‘God Is Smiling Over Us’ and ‘We Give You Praise’.

…today’s show. We had a great night showcasing a couple of new tunes from our recording sessions which we hope will be available next spring.
[Here's where it's from]
Can anyone please tell me why the best Christian band… You don’t know them? Shame on you! Starts with “D” and ends with “elirious?” Where did I interrupt my question? Ah …why the most excellent Christian* band (*it’s obvious that this band must be a Christian band!) needs 7 more months until they release their new album. Since the first new songs have been played it’s even harder to wait until spring ‘08.
So taste and see…
God Is Smiling Over Us - I remember, they were singing the chorus line as kinda spontaneous in between thingy in Leipzig in November last year. Now it has become a song, ding dong, kling klong…
and an unplugged version with Stu G messing up (which is really rare!!)
We Give You Praise - Slow motion with what I call beatles chord progressions
Praise - Bad quality and it doesn’t sound like delirious? and Martin’s voice, but it is. Check here.
